Learn how to make Royal and Delectable Restaurant Style 'Mutton Kofta Curry' with our chef Smita Deo<br /><br /><br />Ingredients for Kofta mix:<br />(Serves 4)<br />- 750 gms Mutton(minced)<br />- 1/2 cup Coriander(chopped)<br />- 3 Green Chillies(chopped)<br />- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste<br />- 1 tbspp Ginger Paste<br />- 1 Onion(chopped)<br />- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder<br />- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder<br />- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder<br />- 2-3 tbsp Gram Flour(roasted)<br />- 1 tbsp Almond Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Cashew Nut Powder<br />- Salt<br />- 1 Egg <br /><br />Ingredients for Gravy:<br />- 2 tbsp Ghee<br />- 2 cups Fried Onions<br />- 1 tbsp Desiccated Coconut<br />- 1 tsp Ginger Paste<br />- 1 tsp Garlic Paste<br />- 1 tbsp Cashew Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Almond Powder<br />- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder<br />- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder<br />- Water<br />- 1 cup Yogurt<br />- 4 Tomatoes(puree)<br />- Salt<br />- Garam Masala Powder<br />- 1 Green chilli(chopped)<br />- Coriander leaves<br /><br />Method:<br />1. Take minced mutton and put it in a grinder along with coriander, green chillies, garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped onions <br />2. Grind all of this together into a thick paste <br />3. Take the thick paste out in a plate and add roasted cumin seeds powder, roasted coriander seeds powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, roasted gram flour, almond Powder, cashew nut powder, salt on it<br />4. Crack one egg over minced mutton paste and masala mix, from the top <br />5. Mix all of this together with your hands and keep it aside<br />6. Now, take ghee in a pan and let it melt over a medium flame<br />7. Once the ghee melts, add fried onions, desiccated coconut, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute it <br />8. Once the raw smell of the ginger-garlic paste goes, add cashew powder, almond powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, roasted coriander seeds powder and saute it for few seconds<br />9. Now, add water to the pan followed with 1 cup of beaten yogurt <br />10. Saute this till the oil separates <br />11. Now, add tomato puree to the mixture and saute it again followed by adding some more water & salt<br />12. Mix it well and let the curry boil for 2-3 minutes over a medium flame<br />13. Now, to make koftas, take masala mutton paste which was kept aside, and make balls out of them <br />14. Drop these balls into the gravy <br />15. Now, cover the pan with its lid and let it cook on a medium flame for around 20-25 minutes <br />16. Once cooked, sprinkle some garam masala powder, green chilli, coriander leaves over it, and mix it gently<br />17. Cover the mutton koftas again and let it cook for more 2 minutes<br />19. Remove it in a serving bowl, and serve it hot <br />
